The hedge in front of the Recreation Ground, Main Road, Hackleton
The hedge is in a very poor state (see photograph) with many bare areas. In order to rejuvenate it we are arranging for the worst section which is nearer to the School to be coppiced (hedge to be cut off close to the ground). This will enable the hedge to put out strong shoots from the bottom resulting in a much thicker and healthier hedge which will benefit wildlife and aesthetically improve the whole area. Any bare gaps will be planted with mixed native hedging.
