Let's Poppy the Parish for Remembrance Sunday.

The Parish will come together on Sunday 8th November 2020 for Remembrance Sunday. Due to Covid-19 regulations the Act of Remembrance will be slightly different and socially distanced at all times. The Parish Council would like to "Poppy the Parish" for the occasion and is calling on all residents and local organisations to take part. Please make/paint/draw/knit poppies to display in your front windows, on gates, fences in fact everywhere within reason. Poppies of different sizes, designs and mediums would be great. Hackleton School will adorn their front fence with poppies and the Pre-School has kindly agreed to do a display for the bus shelter. Please do take part and if you make more than you need please let the Parish Clerk know and she will gladly collect them from you to display around the Parish.

The red poppy, is a sign of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. Let's "poppy our parish" to remember, to pay tribute and to look forward.
